1. When should I apply to the Finance MBA program?
The general admission schedule is as follows: 
  • Mid-September: Online application
  • Late September: Admissions Information Session
  • Late October: Deadline for online application
  • Late October: Deadline for document submission
  • Mid-November: Application screening results
  • Mid-November: Interview
  • Late November: Final results

2. I have no work experience. Am I eligible to apply?
Students who recently graduated with a bachelor’s degree are eligible to apply to Finance MBA without work experience. You can earn some bonus points if you have work experience.
3. Can I earn an MBA degree while working?
Yes, the Finance MBA is an evening, biweekly weekend program with classes held on weekdays at 7:00 p.m.
4. Does my military service count as work experience?
If you served as a military officer in the army or granted privileges, your military service will count as work experience.
5. Which English proficiency exams are accepted?
English proficiency exam score is not necessarily required and there are no minimum standards for English scores. All certified English exams, such as TOEIC, TOEFL, GMAT, and TEPS are accepted. However, we assess students’ level of English language proficiency by conducting an interview in English. After matriculation, we offer courses in English based on the level of English skills. Therefore, students can improve their English language proficiency through the program. 
6. Is there any disadvantage to not submitting an English exam score?
No, we will assess your English language proficiency during an English interview.
7. Will I earn bonus points for submitting other foreign language exam scores besides English?
No bonus points will be given. However, they can be used as reference. 
8. Will I earn bonus points for having a certificate such as CFA/FRM?
No bonus points will be given for having a finance/accounting certificate (CFA, KICPA, AICPA, FRM, etc.). However, an applicant with such a certificate has a high chance of getting into Finance MBA.
9. When does the semesters begin?
The first semester begins in March. The Finance MBA is a two-year program consisting of four semesters and summer/winter sessions.
10. How many students are admitted each year?
We usually accept between 30 and 35 students.
11. What percentage of classes taught in English?
More than 60% of classes are taught in English.
12. What degree will I earn upon completion of Finance MBA?
English: Master of Business Administration (Finance MBA)
Korean: 경영학 석사 (Finance MBA
13. Am I eligible for the scholarship?
In partnership with CFA Institute, we offer a scholarship to students taking a CFA exam which covers the one-time enrollment fee and reduces the exam registration fee.
14. What are the graduation requirements?
You must complete a minimum of 45 credit hours and have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0. A thesis is not required to graduate.”  
15. Am I qualified to pursue a doctoral program after earning an MBA degree?
Yes, you are qualified to pursue a doctoral degree with an MBA degree.  
16. What can I do with an MBA degree and what is the job placement rate?
Korea University Business School runs a career development center called “KUBS Career Hub.” For further information, please check out its website (https://biz1.korea.ac.kr/cdc/en). FMBA graduates currently work in a variety of settings including brokerages, banks, property management companies and rating agencies.
17. Is there any disadvantage if I apply for Finance MBA with no work experience in finance?
The Finance MBA aims to cultivate CEOs in the field of finance, and its operational goal is to help students enter in the field of finance after completing the program. Accordingly, we consider students’ potential to get a job in the finance sector after graduation as a significant evaluation indicator. Graduates who have no work experience in finance have successfully transferred their jobs so far; however, this has been possible because of their unique strengths. Therefore, if you have no work experience in finance, we recommend you consider how you can utilize your strengths in the field of finance before applying.
18. What preparation is required prior to applying for the program?
Since over 60% of courses are conducted in English, it is important to improve your English skills.
