Credit Approval Guidelines for Winter 2017 International Internship Practice Undergraduate stduents may receive academic credits upto 6 credtis of BUSS 470~2 International Internship Practice for the overseas internship training during Winter 2017. Please join the “KUBS Global Internship Community” on KUPID for further details and announcements [portal.korea.ac.kr > Community > Type “2017 경영대 국제인턴십” into the search bar] As KUBS has been selected by LINC+ project, even the individual applicants for the internship practice may get support for their airfare from LINC+ Project Group (To be eligible, the administrations office has to transact the payment. Exceptions to supports may apply). 1. Eligibility   Students majoring in Business Administration in their 3rd or 4th year (Dual Degree, Double Major, Minor, Undeclared Majors in Business Administration included) However, exceptions can be made through approval from International Office. Students in non-business major are not eligible to apply. (For summer/winter course, the students in their final semester cannot apply.) Students who are offered an intern position overseas for more than 4 weeks(160hours) in length during the winter of 2017. Only up to 12 internship credits in total, including other internship practice courses at KU, can be approved.   2. Write the reasons why you are interested in the company as well as your goal. Connect your values and visions to your future plan (please do not go over one page). One copy of official transcript in Korean (upload a scanned file online), one duplicate copy of transcript. One copy of official language test score (TOEFL, TOEIC, TEPS, HSK) (upload a scanned file online), one duplicate copy of language test score Your English proficiency will be recognized by your official TOEFL, TOEIC or TEPS scores only. A duplicate copy of other language test scores except English and China will be accepted.​ Expired test scores will not be accepted based on the application deadline. ​​ You may apply for the global internship without official language test score; however, there may be a disadvantage. (6) Companies may request for additional documents to students who are applying for an internship program on their own or after completion of the school’s selection process. ►​ Must submit additional documents according to the format required by the company (Example: reasons for applying, personal statement, etc.) 5. Notes If you are applying at a company in China, English Proficiency Test Score is not required (If you intend to apply for non-Chinese region as well, you must submit your English Proficiency Test Score and do an English interview on top of Chinese Interview). Chinese interview will be exempted for students with Level 5 or higher in New HSK, Level 7 or higher in Old HSK, or double majoring in Chinese Language and Literature. Students (those who will be graduating in Fall 2017 or Winter 2017) who only has a semester left until their graduation cannot apply. Applying for 3 or 6 credits of “International Internship Practice” - Your credits will be determined based on your internship period (this cannot be changed after your internship is confirmed) Students who have canceled the internship program after the company assignment can reapply; however, they may be place in the second priority list for internship or not be able to get an internship opportunity at all. Students who fail to submit their assignments after completing internship will receive an F grade in “International Internship Practice”. Students who damage the reputation of the company, alumni association, and school with unauthorized behavior may receive an F. Reapplying students will come as a second priority. Students who damage the reputation of the company, alumni association, and school with unauthorized behavior may receive a D or F. Students cannot retake International Internship Practice (BUSS462); therefore, those who have already earned 3 credits of BUSS462 are not eligible to participate in the internship program. Credit Approval Guidelines for Winter 2016 International Internship Practice
Students may receive academic credit (3 credits: BUSS 462 International Internship Practice) for global internship during Winter 2016.
