In the spirit of the new paradigm for the 21th century business thinking, KUBS has been expanding and improving the state-of-the-art educational facilities, building Hyundai Motor Hall as well as KUBS Main Hall, LG-POSCO Hall to encourage students to pursue their dreams of taking an active part in the international stage.

Introduction

Given that the facilities where global talents realize their dreams should be the best in the world not only for studying but also for their daily activities, KUBS has constructed the Hyundai Motor Hall to complement the existing Main Hall, Annex Hall and LG-POSCO Hall, thus demonstrating a dedication to continuously expand its world-class educational facilities.

Completed in September 2013, the Hyundai Motor Hall aspires to present a new business perspective for the 21st century and nurture a new paradigm as a hall that embraces humanities and culture in an era of Asia-focused business studies. Funds raised from December 2009 to September 2013 from over 3,600 people fully financed the construction costs of the Hyundai Motor Hall.

The Hyundai Motor Hall is the third building of KUBS, one which enhances the convenience of its users with cutting-edge studying and lecturing systems. It has also introduced advanced environmentally-friendly construction methods maximizing energy efficiency and minimizing its environmental footprint, marking new ground in the construction of university buildings.

With four stories below ground and five stories above ground, the Hall is 15,470㎡with 28 faculty offices, 16 lecture rooms, and 51 group study rooms. In particular, thanks to the online reservation system based on the use of ID cards, all KUBS students can utilize the group study rooms whenever they are available. Moreover, convenient lounge spaces are located on every floor, and cultural facilities such as the Open Theater are also available.

Lee Du-hui, Dean of KUBS, who was responsible for the construction of the Hall, says, “So many people provided their support for the construction,” adding, “This will be a tremendous help for KUBS in achieving its vision to become the 50th and 3rd best school of business in the world and Asia, respectively.”
